Company Profile
Foundation and Development
Following a pathway of continuous growth, we evolved from a single-product, single-country Company in 1986, to a globally integrated supply chain management exporting annually more than 1500 containers of multi-agricultural products extended from North America to Far East Asia. In this process of evolution, East Med Crops’ business model has grown rapidly expanding across 20 products, more than 30 countries and 350 customers. We have always remained focused on a single commodity asset class, namely the agriculture compound. This focus has helped us improve and progress our skills over time, build a wider perception into these product markets and consolidate our competitive export and import position in the market. As supply chain managers, we were engaged in the sourcing of different agricultural commodities, from the producing countries to final customers in the destination markets. This sourcing and supply involves primary processing, warehousing, transporting, shipping, distributing, marketing and managing simultaneously the risks one can confront at each stage of the supply chain. In the early 2001, we built our new facility for cleaning and grinding spices, which is considered the first in Syria and was enrolled under the quality control strategy in the company. In July 2003, the company witnessed an impressive step towards worldwide expansion, the opening of our new office and purchasing shop in Dubai. Nowadays, it is of paramount importance for us in the industry to buy the best quality products at the right time and of course at the right price. Before supplying to end-users, we as suppliers must know where raw materials originate from. Therefore, a tracing supply system is inevitable to us when purchasing the products.

Health and Safety in store
The location of our warehouses is wisely chosen; distant from manufactures producing fumes and chemical substances. Weather conditions and hygienic factors are all taken into consideration.
The senior technical team is highly experienced in managing warehouses and is scientifically informed with daily programs. The team works hard to maintain the cleanliness using the best modern techniques available. They perform periodic inspection using rodent control to protect the products against all hazards. Abiding by the principle of privatization in warehouses is a must when storing the products.
The warehouses are provided with technological sterilization techniques specialized for all storing materials. Sterilization with heat is made periodically by fostocsin and is also used when storing materials to ensure greater health safety in stores.
We keep the products safe and isolated from any kind of humidity, ready to be stored, packed and shipped to final consumer within the quality standards and specifications of East Med Crops.
The shipment process is completed on a regular basis and checked periodically.
Anti-rodent measures are highly recommended in our stores. Environmental sanitation is the most effective method for controlling the rodent population. One of the anti-rodent measures used is sanitation. It includes: proper waste disposal which prevent access to rodents, making building rodent proof, closing rat holes using concrete and proper food storage.
Samples of the stored goods are chemically analyzed to determine the percentage of oil and humidity for each product. Rot detection and fungi are also tested.
The department of quality control is responsible for the detection of the percentage of purity and to ensure the products are free of insects living or dead and
