Re. Cumin seeds
The market is stable ;Demand is there, but less than usual, offers are available but not at low prices;
Prices are stoned at it’s level, no fluctuating in the market, but has no strength to go up; in general farmers and local traders are fasting so working hours is less than other months, so less activity,
Stable and firm signs from International markets especially from India,
The crop was damaged due to the rain, even though, we still expect to have a crop which is less than normal crop, but available of different color due to the rain, a big difference in the price according to the color between light green and black green, so we recommend confirmation with samples, carry over from Last crop was limited and the color of last year crop was better,
Turkish crop is coming next month, and expected to be good crop,
Roads are less disturbed by war and government export regulations with no change and Syrian pound still strong relatively, all ports are working fine.

Re. Anise seeds :
Market is softer; as demand is moderate; and we are going to finish harvest in a few days, offers of both old and new crop are available, but carry over is relatively small, we have this year to have a good crop but less than last year, as planted area is less than before, after E.M.C. efforts last year in promoting seeding anise without coriander, we hope this year to obtain Anise with less coriander than last year, and due to the recent rain, we are expecting good quality cargo, holding our fingers crossed to not have any rain during the left period of time of harvesting,
Turkish Anise crop will be harvest end of July and It’s expected to be normal crop, even with the rain which damaged the early planted areas.

Re. Coriander seeds:
Market is firmer, demands are there from local market, and carry over is there, but at higher prices, and the new crop is very small, and most available quantity from old crop, price is the higher, effected by local speculation and the news of the new crop,
International market is firmer with less quantity available in eastern Europe, and firm prices from India, after appreciation of their currency against U.S. currency.

Re. Nigella seeds

Market is stable after a short rally , Offers and demands are matched , but local speculators have a strong appetite for this product, new crop is very small, Prices from Syria is not cheap, relatively to other origins.

Re. Caraway :

Market is firm, after a short down trend brought the price for attractive price,

Carry over is there too, demand and offers are there.
