“MARKET REPORT”

Re.Cumin seeds ,.

Although the demands are  lower due to decrease in the price of the  Indian cumin seeds , but its  price in the domestic  market did not go down  , which is a clear  indication that  the available  quantities are  very limited . facing difficulties in obtaining good quality cause part of crop  was affected by rain .

Costs have increased   due to government  striving to collect  taxes and duties regularly and more systematically than before .

The areas of cumin cultivation became more  quiet with less clashes  but in a state of  anticipation   of war  situation  .

Some Roads are not stable   and  some roads  have  stopped due to the recent conflict which caused holding shipments  from the origin  . Also the problem of electricity shortage in addition to the increase of   energy costs ; all ports are working fine, and containers are exported smoothly but the freight rates  to all destinations have increased significantly .

The government regulations of no change, the Syrian currency is stronger  which led to increase in prices in Syria .

Re.Anise seeds ,.

The limited available quantities are  in strong hand now ,who are not willing to sell in low price as the price difference between the Turkish and Syrian anise is around $1500  there is no expectation of decreasing in the price .

Re.Nigella seeds ,

Market is weak ,offers available no increase in price  , but it is supported by the improvement of the Syrian currency .

Re. Coriander seeds,.

Market is slow, new crop is small and a lot quantities have been shipped , the local traders who got the goods in cheaper price before are holding the cargo now  which led  to increase in the price, and coriander now is in strong hands .

Re. Laurel leaves ,.

New crop is good  this year , offers are available with competitive price  , demands are increasing specially from Arabic  countries & Asia  .
